Kai Havertz set for Arsenal medical this weekend
Mateo Kovacic is not the only Chelsea player set for a medical elsewhere.
Standard Sport understands that Kai Havertz will also undergo checks at Arsenal this weekend.
The Gunners have agreed an initial ยฃ62m fee for the player that will rise to ยฃ65m with add-ons, with Havertz having agreed personal terms on a long-term contract.
We reported yesterday that Arsenal were prepared to carry out a medical abroad if needed, with Havertz currently on holiday after playing in Germanyโs recent friendlies against Poland and Colombia.
The deal could be announced officially by Arsenal on Monday.
Man United to make final ยฃ55m Mason Mount bid
More information now on that third Manchester United bid for Mason Mount.
Fabrizio Romano says it will be worth in excess of ยฃ55m, which falls below even Chelseaโs lowered asking price for the player.
Crucially, he adds that it will be the final United bid for Mount before they turn their attentions elsewhere, having been frustrated by those two previous rejected offers.
Mr Romano claims that Mount already has a full agreement on personal terms with United.
New Man United bid for Mason Mount imminent
Manchester United will submit a third bid for Mason Mount soon, reports claim.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who says Chelsea now want a fee between ยฃ60m-ยฃ65m for the England midfielder, who only has a year remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues want a deal done by the June 30 deadline for including player sales in their financial accounts for the 2022/23 season.
United have seen two offers turned down for Mount so far, though are said to remain confident that an agreement can be reached.
Mateo Kovacic set for Man City medical today
Mateo Kovacic will undergo his medical at Manchester City today, Standard Sport understands.
Chelsea are content to offload their Croatian midfielder to the reigning Premier League champions given that he has just a year left to run on his current contract and is unlikely to sign an extension.
City have agreed to pay an initial ยฃ25m fee for Kovacic, rising to ยฃ30m with add-ons.
He has agreed personal terms with the club and will undergo his medical in Manchester today.
Thomas Partey โto leave Arsenal for Juventus move’
Thomas Partey looks set to leave Arsenal this summer.
With the Gunners known to be chasing top target Declan Rice plus another high-profile midfielder, possibly Southamptonโs Romeo Lavia with Ilkay Gundogan on the way to Barcelona, the Ghana international could find himself surplus to requirements under Mikel Arteta, along with the Bayer Leverkusen-bound Granit Xhaka.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus have a three-year contract ready for Partey, who has already given his blessing to a move to Serie A.
Arsenal could reportedly bank between โฌ18m and โฌ20m for the 30-year-old, with Juve also still waiting for a decision on the future of Adrien Rabiot, who is once again being linked with Manchester United.
Fabio Carvalho close to Liverpool loan exit
Fabio Carvalho looks to be edging closer to leaving Liverpool.
The former Fulham starlet appears surplus to requirements already under Jurgen Klopp and is likely to leave Anfield this summer.
According to Football Insider, Carvalho is now closing in on a season-long loan switch to the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
It is apparently yet to be decided if an option to buy will be included in the deal after the 20-year-oldโs frustrating first campaign on Merseyside.
West Ham, Burnley and Brentford are also said to have shown an interest in Carvalho.
Chelsea ready for new Moises Caicedo bid
Chelsea are now ready to submit a new bid for Moises Caicedo, reports claim.
It has been suggested that Manchester United could now enter the race for Brightonโs star midfielder if they fail with a third offer for Mason Mount.
The Daily Mail report that Chelsea are now prepared to return with a renewed push for the ยฃ80m-rated Caicedo, whom they want to partner club-record signing Enzo Fernandez in midfield after missing out on Manuel Ugarte to PSG.
That is becasue the Blues are about to bag a major transfer windfall by offloading the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabia, while Kai Havertz is on his way to Arsenal.
Mateo Kovacic is heading to Manchester City and NโGolo Kante will also move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad.
Newcastle to sign Sandro Tonali today
Newcastle are on the verge of their first major signing of a busy summer transfer window.
As mentioned earlier, the Magpies have turned to Sandro Tonali of AC Milan as their top priority in terms of strengthening Eddie Howeโs midfield for their foray into the Champions League.
Talks have progressed quickly, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the high-profile deal will be completed today after a verbal agreement was reached.
He says a medical is already scheduled, with staff flying to Romania, where Tonali is currently on Under-21 European Championship duty with Italy.
Man United hold Andre Onana meeting
Manchester United are looking to wrap up a deal for Andre Onana.
Erik ten Hag wants a long-term replacement for David de Gea, who could yet depart Old Trafford this summer.
They appear to have settled on Inter Milanโs Onana – also a target for Chelsea – as their top goalkeeping target, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claiming that United held a meeting with agent Albert Botines on Thursday.
Inter are said to be demanding โฌ50m plus add-ons for the Cameroon international, with the beaten Champions League finalists believed to be looking at Giorgi Mamardashvili at Valencia and Bayern Munichโs Yann Sommer as potential successors.
Tottenham handed major James Maddison boost
Tottenhamโs transfer plans certainly donโt appear to stop with Guglielmo Vicario.
Ange Postecoglou needs a number of new signings to turn around Spursโ fortunes, including in midfield.
Spurs are known to be chasing James Maddison and team-mate Harvey Barnes after Leicester suffered relegation from the Premier League this season.
And The Guardian now say that Tottenham are the new frontrunners for Maddison, with main rivals Newcastle apparently not seeing him as a priority as they wrap up a โฌ70m move for AC Milanโs Sandro Tonali instead.
It remains to be seen when Spurs will next bid for Maddison, having seen a joint offer for both the 26-year-old and Barnes rebuffed last week.
