2013 finalists Borussia Dortmund will be in action against Benfica
The German side Dortmund will enter the tie as favourites against Benfica, as they boast a wealth of talent and experience in the competition, with the likes of Marcos Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bolstering their ranks.
Porto meanwhile will be quietly confident of their chances. The Portuguese side is riding high in the Primeira Liga standings, sitting in first place after a handy 3-0 win over FC Arouca.
Porto has an impressive 17 different goal scorers in all competitions, meaning that they are a versatile side that is not meant to be taken lightly.
In the other fixture, Barcelona will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the marquee clash of the day. Barcelona’s much heralded attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar will be looking to take advantage of a weakened PSG defence, after it was revealed that
captain Thiago Silva will miss the match through injury.
However, the Parisians will be hoping that history will be on their side, since they have a winning record in matches played against Barcelona in their native France, having won two, drawn one and lost one at home.
However on the flip side, Barcelona have a corresponding winning record against PSG, as they have won two and drawn two of their four games against the reigning French champions at the Nou Camp.
