We know that your weekend can sometimes be packed with so many commitments and things to do, which is why we are going to be giving you a recap of all of the weekends sporting action! The was plenty going on in the Premier League, the ICC World Cup Qualifiers kicked off in Zimbabwe and much more!

In the other games, Scotland stunned Afghanistan in their opener winning their game by 7 wickets, The United Arab Emirates beat Papua New Guinea by 56 runs (via the Duckworth-Lewis method) and finally Ireland beat the Netherlands by 93 runs.

We are not done with Football news, because the always entertaining Soweto Derby was held this past weekend pitting age old rivals Kaizer Chiefs against the Orlando Pirates. The skull and crossbones came out on top, winning the encounter 3-1 thanks to a brace from Amigo Luvuyo Memela and a Thembinkosi Lorch goal to offset a fine effort from Leanardo Castro.
Finally on a sad note, there were no Serie A matches played this weekend, as the league decided to honour David Astori he tragically passed away at the age of 31 from a suspected heart attack. May his soul rest in peace.
Super Rugby had some entertaining matches this weekend, with the pick of the bunch being the Bulls vs Lions game which saw both sides score over 30 points and the Lions came out on top with a hard fought 49-35 victory.
Matchday 3 also provided a rare result, both in Super Rugby and Rugby in general, as the Sharks and the Waratahs drew their game.

There were a number of ATP events but here are the highlights: Argentine Juan Martin del Potro clinched his 21st career title with a 6-4 6-4 win over Kevin Anderson in the Mexican Open final in Acapulco on Sunday.
Italy’s Fabio Fognini clinched his sixth career title with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Chile’s Nicolas Jarry in the Sao Paulo final and dedicated his win to Fiorentina footballer Davide Astori who died earlier on Sunday.
Phil Mickelson broke his title drought after nearly five years and more than 100 tournaments without a win, to claim the WGC-Mexico Championship.
A par putt on the first playoff hole on Sunday earned Mickelson the win over Justin Thomas and gave the 47-year-old Hall of Famer encouragement that his game was getting back to its best.
