The epic Sunday night link-up between two generations of greatness, Reggae legend Beres Hammond and Dancehall superstar Popcaan, set the tone for the week according to social media users. While Reggae Queen Marcia Griffiths and the Gargamel Buju Banton each brought down the virtual house with their rousing sets at the Love From A Distance concert, the display of respect and camaraderie between Beres and the Unruly Boss left fans in their feels.
The outpouring of positivity and praise from various corners of the entertainment fraternity has many persons buzzing for the duo’s upcoming collab, God Is Love, already dubbed by Popcaan as a “modern classic”.
From artists to top brands’ official IG accounts such as VP Records and Lion Pride JA, several comments captured the excitement for their artists’ show-stopping premiere. Following his pre-performance “salute to a living legend“, Popcaan took to social media again to pay homage in writing to the veteran who, by answering his Reggae Calling, inspired generations as well as styles within the genre.

Beres sent his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming patronage and sentiments but took a minute to especially respond to the Family deejay. “@popcaanmusic It is always a joy to share these moments wid di I! PURE LOVE!!,” the reggae crooner wrote.
The two managed to keep their studio vibes under wraps up until showtime, after which the producers of the upcoming collaboration, Jukeboxx Productions, shared a photo of the two stars in the studio.
