AT the tender age of 21, a nagging knee injury has compelled promising Highlanders rightback Bukhosi “Khosera” Ncube to quit the game.

Ncube, whose injury was aggravated early last year to spend the entire 2019 season in the treatment room recently took to Facebook to announce that he was now hanging his boots.

“It’s like God knew that I was going to leave the beautiful game at an early age. I got to experience everything that a local footballer wishes to experience but sadly this is where it all ends not on my will but sometimes bad things happen,”said Ncube, a former Zimbabwe youth international who earned several caps with the country’ s Under 17 and 20 sides.

He added: “I would like to thank Highlanders for giving me a chance to showcase the talent I had…”

The Victoria Falls-bred Ncube used to compete for the first team starting place at Bosso together with MacClive Phiri and Charlton Siamalonga.

Phiri is now with South Africa’s Bidvest Wits and Siamalonga now looks set to command a starting place at the Mark Harrison-mentored side.
