FA Cup fifth-round draw – date, time, ball numbers and how to watch
All eyes are on the ball as the draw for the fifth round proper of the FA Cup gets under way.
Sixteen places remain in the football tournament and the draw will decide which teams face each other in three weeks’ time.
Manchester United are the current holders of the FA Cup, after beating local rivals Manchester City in 2024.
Both teams remain in the competition this year but Man City are the current favourites to win, according to Oddschecker.
When is the FA Cup fifth-round draw and how can I watch?
The draw for the Emirates FA Cup fifth round proper will be made live on the BBC’s The One Show on Monday 10 February at around 7.10pm (GMT).
It will be presented by Kelly Somers, with former England and Arsenal players Alex Scott and Theo Walcott drawing the balls out.
Viewers will be able to watch it live on BBC One or stream it on the BBC iPlayer.
It can also be watched live across the Emirates FA Cup social media channels of X, Instagram and Facebook.
What are the ball numbers for the FA Cup fifth-round draw?
Each ball number in the draw corresponds to one of the teams remaining in the competition.
The teams and their ball numbers are:
- 1 – Manchester United
- 2 – Millwall
- 3 – Brighton & Hove Albion
- 4 – Preston North End
- 5 – Exeter City or Nottingham Forest
- 6 – Ipswich Town
- 7 – Wolverhampton Wanderers
- 8 – Fulham
- 9 – Newcastle United
- 10 – Plymouth Argyle
- 11 – AFC Bournemouth
- 12 – Aston Villa
- 13 – Burnley
- 14 – Manchester City
- 15 – Doncaster Rovers or Crystal Palace
- 16 – Cardiff City
Ball number five’s team will be decided in a match on Tuesday 11 February and ball number 15’s team will be determined in a match on Monday 11 February.
When will the FA Cup fifth round be played?
The fifth round of the FA Cup is scheduled to start on the weekend of 1 and 2 March.
Quarter final matches of the cup will be played on the weekend of 29 and 30 March.
Successful teams will then be heading to Wembley on the weekend of 26 and 27 April for the semi-finals.
And the final will be held at the London venue on Saturday 17 May.
