Olumide Baritone comes through with an Africanised Version Of “You Raise Me Up”
Olumide Dada popularly known as Olumide Baritone sings classical music with a mixture of Broadway and whenever he is on stage, his performance is soothing to the body and soul.
Olumide trained under the likes of Professor Laz. Ekueme, Late Elder Steve Rhodes, Benneth Ogbewi and Sir Emeka Nwokedi and then established himself as a Baritone Soloist and went commercial in 2006, performing at different events and occasions around the country. Apart from music, Olumide is also a model, an actor.
In 2010, Olumide got a scholarship by MTN foundation to study music at the Muson Diploma School of Music and he graduated as the best voice student. This has helped Olumide to become a professional voice trainer and an award winning Baritone Soloist in Nigeria, certified by the Associate Board Of Royal Schools Of Music In London. Olumide was a gold medalist at the European choir games in Magdeburg Germany in 2015.
Olumide is the first runner up, Hymnodia Season One 2019, a reality TV show centered around Hymns, where he bagged home awards for being the most consistent performer and best behaved hymntestant. He also invented a new technique called The Arabian Scale.
Olumide is married with two beautiful children, Jordan and Viola.
