The summer transfer window is still over a week away but, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United are all busy working on deals. The Blues have already completed their second summer signing in the form of Kendry Paez and are now looking at Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and have reported interest in Romeo Lavia.
Arsenal are also keen on Caicedo, and a £100million fee has been touted, though West Ham captain Declan Rice remains their top priority and will lodge a first bid this week. Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan is another major midfield target. Tottenham have appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager, though Spurs will soon get an opening bid from Real Madrid for Harry Kane having told Manchester United he is not for sale.
Los Blancos are pushing for Kane with Karim Benzema heading to Saudi Arabia, though Chelsea’s Kai Havertz is also of interest. United, meanwhile, are in talks to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea, are likely to sign Kim Min-jae and have lined up Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos as Kane alternatives. Chelsea are ready to rival Liverpool for Veiga
Chelsea are ready to rival Liverpool for young midfield star Gabri Veiga.
The Guardian report that the Blues are prepared to push hard to sign the 21-year-old, who has a €40million (£34.4m) buyout clause in his Celta Vigo contract.
Chelsea were hoping to sign Manuel Ugarte to fill a midfield slot before withdrawing their interest, and are now turning attentions to Veiga.
Brighton’s Moises Caicedo is also firmly of interest but the report adds that Chelsea want to wrap up Veiga before Liverpool step up their own efforts, who are currently focused on finalising a move for Alexis Mac Allister.
Arsenal and Chelsea eye up Zaha
Arsenal and Chelsea are set to battle for another player this summer with Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha also of interest.
Amid competiting admiring glances to Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, it is Zaha who is also boasting suitors across London.
Zaha is approaching the end of his contract at Selhurst Park and is currently not expected to agree an extension.
Football London claims Arsenal and Chelsea are both monitoring the situation amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
Spurs explore Maguire signing
Tottenham are interested in signing Manchester United captain Harry Maguire, according to multiple reports.
The Telegraph stress that any pursuit of Maguire has no bearing on United’s interest in Kane, and the defender moving to north London could even appease the striker to stay.
Kane has even previously recommended Spurs sign Maguire, with the pair forming a strong bond while with England.
No potential fee has been given but Spurs are expected to sign at least one new central defender this summer for new manager Ange Postecoglou and Maguire may be available on a cut-price fee.
Mac Allister to undergo Liverpool medical today
Alexis Mac Allister’s move to Liverpool is almost complete.
News emerged yesterday that the Reds had total agreement with both the player and Brighton to sign the Argentine World Cup-winning playmaker in a cut-price deal worth around £45m.
Mac Allister is said to have agreed a five-year contract at Anfield, with transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reporting that his medical will take place today.
The 24-year-old will reportedly put pen to paper on the deal on Wednesday, before the move is then officially confirmed.
Man United set to wrap up Kim deal
Manchester United are closing in on a deal to Napoli centre-back Kim Min-Jae.
According to Calciomercato, United will trigger a clause in the 26-year-old’s contract which allows him to be sold for around £50million. The clause is active only between July 1 and July 15.
United, it is claimed, have already held talks with Kim’s representatives, in which an agreement was met over personal terms, making the signing almost a formality come July.
Napoli want Atalanta star Giorgio Scalvini as Kim’s replacement.
Porro’s bizarre Kane to Madrid admission
Pedro Porro insists his Tottenham team-mates would be “happy” to see Harry Kane join Real Madrid.
Kane is expected to be the subject of a bid from the Spanish giants as they look for a replacement for Karim Benzema, who is set to move to Saudi Arabia.
The England captain has just one year remaining on his contract and Spurs insist their talisman is not for sale and will be part of new manager Ange Postecoglou’s first-team squad next season.
But Porro, speaking at a press conference in Spain, insists Kane would go with his and his team-mates’ blessing.
“If Kane decides to go to Real Madrid we’ll be as happy as he is or more,” he reportedly said at the opening of a training camp named after him.

Why Levy and Spurs fans must be patient with Postecoglou
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy welcomed Ange Postecoglou with a nod to his “positive mentality” and attacking football.
Neither Jose Mourinho nor Antonio Conte brought much positivity to Spurs and their styles were often dull.
In time, Postecoglou promises to get Spurs back to playing full-throttle, exhilarating football, much more in tune with the club’s rich traditions. But it will not be an overnight transformation.
Postecoglou has acknowledged that it often takes his teams six months to a year to “bed in” and says “rocky” starts are to be expected wherever he goes. Levy and supporters must be patient, though his four-year contract is an encouraging show of faith.

Messi working on Barca return
Lionel Messi could well be making a sensational return to Barcelona this summer.
The World Cup winner is leaving PSG and while Saudi Arabia are keen to secure Messi, Goal Espana claim that the Argentine has asked Al Hilal to postpone talks for another year.
That would add further fuel to the speculation that Messi wants to play for Barcelona again, with president Joan Laporta also keen.
He told reporters: “Of course, he [Messi] would love to return to Barcelona. I would like it too. We will see.”
Osimhen open to Napoli exit
Victor Osimhen says he “doesn’t mind” if he stays at Napoli or moves on this summer.
The Nigerian has become one of Europe’s top strikers during his time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, hitting 30 goals this season to fire Luciano Spalletti’s side to their first Serie A title since 1990.
Such exploits have seen Osimhen linked with a big-money exit from Italy, with Manchester United and Chelsea said to be among the clubs interested in the player, who still has two years left to run on his current contract in Naples and is expected to have an asking price worth more than £100m.
“I don’t know, the president [Aurelio De Laurentiis] has to decide that. I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don’t mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow,” Osimhen told DAZN when asked if he would still be at Napoli next season.
