Women’s Voice Zimbabwe Director Scoops Youth Award
Women’s Voice Zimbabwe (WVZ) journalist Ashley Muremba was honored yesterday with an award 2020 Outstanding Youth In the Media Sector. Ashley Muremba is the Director at Women’s Voice Zimbabwe which an online media organisation that is run and owned by young women.
The award was presented yesterday by 4H Zimbabwe in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Sports,Arts and Recreation and SAYWHAT Organisation.
The awards were graced by Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth, Sports,Arts and Recreation Dr. Thokozile Chitepo who encouraged youths to strive to excel despite economic challenges in the country.
“As we are running with the theme “Celebrating Youths Trendsetters in Reviving Zimbabwe’s Economy “youths should network and have peer to peer networking in order to achieve greatness through collaborations.”
The awards nominees were across sectors including Minning, Sports, Agriculture,Arts, Tourism, innovation, Entrepreneurship, Academic Excellence, Social Responsibility, Children’s Rights and Media.
Board Chairperson for 4H Zimbabwe Wendy Madzura stated that the objective of the organization is to create opportunities and spearhead potential upcoming youths who have excelled in different sectors.
